Walnut, burl, brass, and leather — a listening console built to outlast the gear that sits on it.
Most media cabinets treat your hi-fi like clutter to hide. This one treats it like the centerpiece it is. The open center bay is proportioned for a turntable up top and a receiver or amp on the shelf below, with airflow running through the whole case so your components breathe and run cool — no heat trapped behind a shut door. Flanking it, two cabinet doors faced in hand-selected walnut burl keep records and accessories out of sight, each panel one-of-a-kind. Turned brass pulls wrapped in leather.
The case is built from carefully matched walnut veneer — the same approach used on the finest casework, where real wood is laid over a stable core so the grain can be book-matched across a panel and the piece stays flat and true through years of seasonal change. Solid wood moves; a well-veneered case holds its line.
This isn’t a piece you replace in five years. It’s where your collection lives for the next forty — and the thing someone eventually inherits and asks about. Built by hand in Yelm, Washington, and signed.
